Highlights from Yesterday
The away team in the 2023 playoffs thus far has gone 45-29-8, winning 55% of all games
Ty Dellandrea came up with 2 momentum shifting goals to help the Stars win Game 5 and keep the series alive
Miro Heiskanen played game-leading 25.5 minutes in Game 5 and Jason Robertson played 18.1 minutes, as Robertson leads the series for Dallas with 6 points
Eichel's assist was his team-leading 18th point of the playoffs (in 16 games)
Wyatt Johnston and Roope Hintz led the game with 5 SOG each, putting them in 2nd and 4th in the series with 14.52 and 11.75 SOG/60, respectively
Series Trends
Goaltending
The play of Adin Hill and Jake Oettinger has been outstanding, particularly from Adin Hill. While Oettinger had a tough outing in Game 3, both goalies had to make 30+ saves in at least 2 of 5 games, Hill rising to the occasion 4 times. Dallas has not been afraid to shoot and has seen a solid trend of increased SOG/60 from many players, but with Hill's save percentage of 93.1% in the WCF so far, it will be hard for the Stars to win 2 more facing elimination.
Player Trends
Max Domi's SOG per 60 has been steadily increasing this series, along with teammates Joe Pavelski and Jason Robertson, who is tied with Jonathan Marchessault to leads the series in points with 6 points (5G/1A). While Miro Heiskanen leads the series in TOI with 27.1 Mins/Game, it must be a thought if the increased playing time will cause fatigue in Game 6 and 7, especially if they go into overtime. If the Stars are able to continue the momentum and the Knights aren't able to capitalize the way they were in Round 2, Dallas can make a historic comeback.
