- Patrick Kane scored his goal of the season for the OT Winner in his return to Chicago and the Red Wings stay on top of the Wild Card race in the East.
- Nikita Kucherov's 4 point night (1G/3A) gives him a 6 point lead on Nathan MacKinnon (96 points) in the scoring race. Kucherov has 1.73 Points per Game but is still a full Point per Game back from the NHL Single Season record (Wayne Gretzky in the 1983-1984 Season had 2.77 Points per Game).
- Brandon Hagel continued a 13 game point streak with 3 points in the Lightning's win over the Devils.
- Sidney Crosby also had a goal and 3 assists in the Penguins' 7-6 win over a strong Flyers team, his 13th game with more than a point.
- Elvis Merzlikins stopped 38 of 40 SOG in the Blue Jackets' upset win over the Rangers. The Rangers had a 77.1% win probability and snapped a 10 game win streak in the road loss.
